Occupational Hazard

I’m not done with work for the summer. I still have 118 hours of writing center work to make up, assessment documents to turn in, and curriculum mapping to complete. BUT, I don’t always have to sit in my office to do that work anymore. Today, I got to risk my favorite occupational hazard — sunburn. I only got mildly pink on the tips of my shoulders, and it sure felt good to be able to be somewhere besides my windowless office where the air conditioning can sometimes reach arctic extremes. It was still just a tiny bit too hot for my taste. I went outside for rounds one and two of work since the heat kept chasing me inside. But, the breeze blowing through the trees was therapeutic, and it was much less stressful to have the dogs racing about the back yard than racing around the living room.
